This position is located in our Downey Branch and is an In-person position. Monday - Friday 9am-6pm with flexibility and occasional Saturdays

Candidate must be Biligual in Spanish

Candidate must be licensed to originate mortgage loans

Primary Job:

Provides direct support to the Loan Officer by performing all aspects of loan file set up, providing industry leading customer service to client base, communicating current loan status to all interested parties and other administrative and clerical duties as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Answer phones, assist clients
  • Use of data entry on computers using Encompass, MS Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Loan file set up: order 4506-T, order Social Security verification, order VOEs, pull LDP/GSA, pull MERs info, pull USPS verification, verify approved status of title/escrow, pull FHA case number if applicable.
  • Loan pricing
  • Requesting disclosures
  • Sort loan related documents into appropriate fields in Encompass
  • Documentation follow up and tracking (contacting borrowers, title companies, real estate offices, appraisers, lenders, etc.)
  • Assist Loan Officers with any other aspect of the loan closing as directed

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Minimum 1-2 years mortgage experience
  • Licensed to originate
  • Bilingual Spanish
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills required.
  • Basic knowledge of loan programs
  • Ability to credit qualify borrowers
  • Ability to work with diverse base of contacts (Loan Officers, clients, agents, lenders, title companies, etc.)
  • Detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills and ability to multi task
  • Computer skills required for this position include intermediate/advanced MSWord, Excel, Outlook (e-mail) and Encompass mortgage origination software
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet stringent deadlines on a consistent basis
  • Previous experience in retail residential mortgage loan originations strongly desired, preferably as a Loan Officer, Loan Officer Assistant or Processor.
